Makesworth Accountants Scholarship for ACCA students in Nepal 2025

The Makesworth Accountants Scholarship is proudly established by Makesworth Accountants, a Globally Approved Employer. Makesworth Accountants is a multi-award-winning accountancy, tax, audit, and business advisory firm of chartered accountants based in Harrow, with branches across the UK.

Who is the scholarship for?

This scholarship is open to registered ACCA students in Nepal, including:

Current ACCA students at the Fundamentals stage
New entrants to ACCA with a strong academic background

Scholarship Awards

Two Full One-Year Scholarships:

1 Female Candidate (priority given to those from disadvantaged backgrounds)
1 Open Candidate (male or female, selected based on merit)

Two Highly Commended Recognitions:

1 Male Candidate (merit-based)
1 Female Candidate (merit-based)

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate:

Financial difficulty (verifiable where applicable)
Commitment to completing ACCA
A minimum academic qualification of HSEB

What Does the Scholarship Cover?

For the Winner (Two)

Exam fees (one sitting per paper) for the CBE exam sessions from March 2026 to December 2026, covering the Fundamental and Applied Skills Level.
Annual subscription fees for 2026.

For the Highly Commended (Two)

Annual subscription fees for 2026.

The payment will be made via reimbursement from The Makesworth Foundation, the charitable arm of Makesworth Accountants.

Application Process

To apply, candidates must submit an “Essay for Scholarship” in PDF format via email to: accascholarship@makesworth.co.uk

Essay Requirements:

Length: Between 500 and 1000 words
Must be written organically by the applicant without the use of AI tools
Must address the following themes:

Why did you choose to pursue ACCA?
What are your aspirations after becoming an ACCA member?

Include your Full name and ACCA ID in the email. Do not include any other personal details, such as DOB, full address, or family details that are not required at this stage.

Winner Announcement: Within 2 weeks after the submission deadline

A huge congratulations to Ms. Nicky Sah for being selected as the deserving winner of the Makesworth ACCA Scholarship 2023. She was chosen as the winner due to her clear vision and commitment towards the ACCA profession and community at large which was in alignment with Makesworth's own values. With all the candidates being equally good, this was a difficult decision to make.

The Makesworth Accountants Scholarship Winner 2022

Congratulations to Prerna Thapa, our first-ever candidate on being selected for the One Year Makesworth Scholarship 2022.

We received more than 100 applications from highly talented and deserving candidates. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate all of them and it was very difficult to select one among the top 5 interviewed candidates. We are happy for Miss Prerna to be the winner and hope this serves as inspiration and motivation to our future candidates.

Makesworth will continue the journey of providing scholarships to deserving students every year as part of our commitment to giving back to the community and the accounting profession.
